每逢春節，貓纜、動物園及兒育中心等地都是人山人海，這些場館除夕暫停營業一天。

春節期間，北市各項公共設施、公共服務及醫療院所的服務時間不一，環保局將從23日起至25日止，停收垃圾清運，直到初四（26日）才恢復。貓纜、兒育中心、動物園、自來水園區除夕當天暫停營業，初一以後均開始營業，但營業時間可能與平日稍有不同。
