 集應廟的建築結構為兩殿兩廊兩護龍，面寬總寬七開間、殿宇三開間的「七包三」形式，是清同治年間臺灣最常見的寺廟配置。前殿的大紅色木柵欄也是清代傳統做法，許多廟宇重修後，柵欄就消失了，集應廟仍然保留古貌。前殿中央屋脊是高聳華麗的西施脊，也是很顯眼的特色。
