因颱風受災、生活發生困難的學生，可申請5千元以上的「安全就學網」學生緊急紓困助學金。 教育部強調，申請紓困金，只要導師認定即可，不用村里長證明、或家庭收入證明。需要的學生可洽詢 (02)7736-6336，或上網http://140.111.34.220/。 部分大專院校除提供5千元以上紓困金，還有學雜費減免、住宿費減免、安排工讀等協助學生度過難關的措施。
