這幾座有近百年歷史的日式平房，初建於1920年，本為一處溫泉旅館，相傳二次大戰時曾作為日本神風特攻隊的招待所，之後由國民政府接管。由於建築保留尚 稱完整，臺北市政府遂於1998年9月列為市定古蹟，並經5年的修復，2002年風韻再現，成為古蹟再出發的典範。館內目前展示臺灣民俗與原住民文物，並 規劃有品茗用膳的怡然居，禮品坊則展售融合創意與古典的手作禮品，可說是結合古蹟庭園之美及茶飲美饌之雅的特殊展館。
